Blue Jackets 4, Ducks 2: Nick Foligno scored a pair of goals and RJ Umberger added a tally and an assist as Columbus began its four-game road trip with its third straight win.
Ryan Johansen also scored for the Blue Jackets, who split the two-game season series with the Ducks. Sergei Bobrovsky finished with 34 saves.
Mathieu Perreault and captain Ryan Getzlaf tallied for Anaheim, which fell to 1-3-0 on its five-game homestand. Frederik Anderson turned aside 29 shots as the Ducks lost in regulation at home for the fourth time in six games after beginning the season with a 22-game point streak at Honda Center (20-0-2).
Columbus grabbed the lead midway through the first period as Johansen beat Andersen from the left faceoff circle for his 23rd goal. Umberger made it 2-0 when defenseman James Wisniewski's blast from the top of the left circle caromed off his skate and into the net during a power play with 3:17 left in the second.
The Ducks halved the deficit at 5:45 of the third, when Patrick Maroon made a backhand pass from the right side of the net to Perreault, who beat Bobrovsky from the doorstep. But Foligno scored twice in a 4:19 span later in the session, burying a rebound on the doorstep before knocking in a loose puck in the crease during a two-man advantage.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Johansen has scored four goals in his last three games while Foligno has three tallies in two contests following a nine-game drought. ... Foligno is two goals away from matching his career high of 17 set in 2008-09 while with Ottawa. ... Ducks RW Teemu Selanne played in his 1,433rd career game, passing Mike Gartner for 23rd place on the all-time list.
