Jonathan Marchessault scored the winning goal in overtime and Marc-Andre Fleury moved into a tie for third place on the NHL's all-time wins list with his 489th career victory as the Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Arizona Coyotes, 3-2, on Saturday night in Glendale, Ariz.

Fleury finished with 19 saves and tied Roberto Luongo for third behind Martin Brodeur (691) and Patrick Roy (551) with his 23rd win of the season.

William Karlsson and Mark Stone each scored goals and Marchessault added an assist for Vegas (36-12-2, 74 points), which maintained a four-point lead over second-place Colorado in the Western Division.

Christian Dvorak and Christian Fischer scored goals and Darcy Kuemper finished with 31 saves for Arizona (22-24-6, 50 points), which remained three points behind fourth-place St. Louis, a 4-3 overtime loser at Minnesota earlier Saturday, in the race for the final playoff spot in the West.

The Coyotes, who rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the third period to tie it, were penalized for too many men on the ice with 2:25 left in overtime. Marchessault then scored 29 seconds later, one-timing a shot from the left circle off a pass from Alex Pietrangelo.

Vegas, which had a franchise-record 10-game winning streak snapped with a 3-0 loss in Friday night's front end of the back-to-back, took a 1-0 lead at the 10:15 mark of the first period on Karlsson's 14th goal of the season. Marchessault set up the score with a crossing pass from the right wing to the front of the net where the puck hit Karlsson's skate and caromed up and over Kuemper's left shoulder.

Stone made it 2-0 early in the second period with his 20th goal of the season, finishing an odd-man rush with Max Pacioretty and firing a wrist shot past Kuemper's glove. It marked the seventh consecutive 20-goal season for Stone.

Fischer cut it to 2-1 midway through the third period with his third goal of the season when he walked in and fired a wrist shot from the high slot past Fleury's blocker side.

Arizona then tied it, 2-2, with 5:12 left in regulation on Dvorak's 14th goal of the season from the slot on the power play, snapping a streak of 21 straight penalty kills by the Golden Knights.
