Krebs' two goals were the first two in his career, while Alex Tuch and Rasmus Dahlin contributed two assists each for the Sabres, who snapped a nine-game losing streak at home. Buffalo's six goals were a season-high.

Sabres goaltender Michael Houser, in his second game of the season and sixth of his career, made 30 saves. Houser is one of six different goaltenders the Sabres have used this season.

Claude Giroux scored two goals and Rasmus Ristolainen added one goal for the reeling Flyers, who have dropped 11 consecutive games. The Flyers lost 10 straight earlier this season from Nov. 18-Dec. 8.

Cam Atkinson chipped in two assists for Philadelphia.

Flyers goaltender Martin Jones allowed four goals on eight shots and was lifted for Carter Hart, who made 14 saves the rest of the way.

The Sabres went ahead 1-0 just 1:29 into the game when Skinner found himself wide open in front and scored. Ristolainen equalized at 11:18 for the Flyers.

When Giroux scored at 12:44 of the opening period, the Flyers held a short-lived 2-1 advantage.

Thompson scored two power play goals 24 seconds apart, the first at 15:33 of the opening period, and the Sabres regained the lead 3-2. Krebs added a fourth goal for Buffalo two minutes before the first intermission for a two-goal advantage.

Krebs' second tally at 2:24 of the second extended Buffalo's lead to 5-2.

The Flyers received a late second-period power play and couldn't capitalize despite several strong scoring chances by Cam York.

Philadelphia opened the third with the balance of another power play remaining and nearly scored as James van Riemsdyk was denied by Houser.

Skinner's second goal, at 4:36 of the third on the power play gave the Sabres a commanding 6-2 lead.

The Flyers stayed aggressive with strong shots by Justin Braun and Travis Konecny. Houser was in position both times to make the save.

Giroux's second goal with just over five minutes remaining got the Flyers within 6-3.
